05 burglars arrested, stolen items recovered

Srinagar, March 18 (KNO) : Ganderbal police has solved a burglar case by arresting five accused persons involved in the crime and recovered stolen items on their instance. One person Shamim Ahmad Baba reported in Police Station Gund and stated that on 3rd of February, some burglars looted his mobile shop at Kullan, Ganderbal.

In this regard, a case FIR number 04/2018 under section 380, 457 RPC was registered in Police Station Gund and investigation was started. During the course of investigation, five accused persons namely Liakat Ahmad Tadwa, Shahnawaz Ahmad Waar, Kaiser Ahmad Khan, all residents of Raizan, Irshad Ahmad Khatana resident of Yash Hama Mamar and Irshad Ahmad Raina resident of Hariganiwan were arrested.

On their instance, stolen items including 16 smart phones, 01 coil electric wire, 05 pen drives, 06 mobile chargers, 04 wrist watches, 02 solar lanterns, 19 mobile batteries, dried tray namkeen of 5kg and 02 carrying bags were recovered. During further investigation, these arrested accused persons also confessed that they have jointly committed burglaries in two more shops of Mobile & accessories and Grocery shops at Ganiwan and Kullan areas respectively. The items looted from these shops were also recovered.(KNO)
